Formed in 1995 by Peter Berman, Zenith has built a solid reputation in the music event market and offers nothing but the most professional and entertaining service possible.

From set-up and operation of the highest quality PA and lighting systems through to providing wireless microphones for speeches, Zenith can provide all of the audio and lighting that your event could possibly require. We also offer a background music service through the medium of CD and iPod.
Peter Berman - Front man and Vocals:
Peter has been singing and performing since 1990 and formed Zenith in 1995. He has since also been involved in many professional musical productions. Peter has also performed with many of South Africa's top musicians such as Rob Watson, Denny Lalouette and Jethro Butow. Peter plays guitar and piano and is a natural front man with a classic ‘rock' voice. His energy and talent on stage ensures a great vibe.
Tulla Eckhart - Lead Vocals:
Tulla graduated from Pretoria Technikon in 1999 with a Higher National Diploma in Drama specialising in singing and dance. She has worked extensively in Jo'burg as a singer, musician, actress, vocal coach and voice artist, including appearances at Gold Reef City, Villamoura Restaurant in Sandton, Montecasino, the Westcliff Hotel and many more. She has been a part of Zenith since 2007 and her extensive repertoire and superb performance ability make her a ‘must-have' for any function.
Brian Joffe - Lead and Bass Guitar:
Brian has been playing music since 1990. He has studied extensively with some of South Africa's leading musicians such as classical teacher Fritz Buss and jazz legend Carlo Mombeli. He has also studied music at the tertiary level. Brian has been playing live in South Africa since 1992 and has toured the country extensively, performing at some of the country's most well-known venues. Brian joined Zenith in 2000, playing bass and burning lead guitar and his cool sound on stage really gives the band the edge.
Michael Barber - Drums and Percussion:
Michael began playing drums in 1985 under the tutelage of Alex Schuster. He went on to complete his P.I.T qualification under the guidance of Andre Luke and has since performed in several musical productions at the Richard Loring Sound Stage, including ‘Feeling Groovy' and ‘Stage Fright'. Michael joined Zenith in 2002 and his stage presence, professionalism and ability behind the drums is the thumping energy that drives the band.
Barry Snyman - Saxophone and Flute:
Barry is a veteran of the South African music industry. He plays soprano, alto and tenor saxophone and, more recently, the flute. He is a performer and session musician with many years experience and has also played on many television theme tunes and adverts. Barry has toured Europe and has played with international artists such as Patty Austin. Barry joined Zenith in 2003 and since then his smooth vibe and superb skill with his instrument creates an atmosphere that makes any event unforgettable.
Pete Sklair - Bass Guitar:
As a bass guitarist Peter has played in a variety of settings including concert, festival, club, studio and television. He is a member of the group Unofficial Language (along with Ian Herman and Paul Hanmer) who has released two CDs: Move Moves, and Primal Steps. The group was featured at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival 2006. He was also a member of 'estudio', the pioneering classical jazz ensemble led by Russel Herman and including Robbie Jansen, Louis Wald and Tony Cedras.
Jaydine Baron - Keyboard Player:
Born in Cape Town, Jaydine is emerging as one of South Africa's premier session keyboard players. He is currently working with pop artists, Danny K, Loyiso Bala, Gang of Instruments as well as Timothy Moloi. Jaydine started playing for Zenith in 2008.
Denny Lalouette - Bass Guitar:
Denny was born in Mauritius, started playing guitar at age 8, emigrated to SA at age 14, started playing drums, went over to Bass at age 16 and has been a freelance bass player since finishing high school in South Africa – where he has lived ever since. The amount of recordings that he played on runs into the thousands (literally) and he has also been on countless commercials and TV shows including Idols III (2005), Idols IV (2007), Idols V (2009), Strictly Come Dancing (2006), Huisgenoot’s yearly extravaganza “Skouspel", the local Jerry Springer series, but to name a few.
